He can be interesting

Yep, I'm in the 1% of the TMM fandom that actually DOESN'T hate Masaya. Yeah, I pointed out that he's a Gary Stu before. But he can actually be interesting. There's a lot of subtlety to his character. He's cynical towards humanity because of the way they treat the planet until Ichigo made him realize that not all humans are bad. Towards the end, its also revealed that he's an orphan who pretended to be the "perfect child" so he could be adopted.

But of course, people ignore all the subtlety to his character because its not in your face

Also, I sometimes feel like the only one who actually ships him with Ichigo (though I like her with Ryo as well). He's a WAYYY better boyfriend than a certain creepy alien boy.
